	06.07.2009 New generation of Adapters is ready! The preparation of new adapters took 7 days at the sport-health camp in Shotozero. All those willing to teach the freshmen were devided into two teams - two different shifts. The participants had a great interesting educational programme along with various competitions. As a result - more than 90 adapters will start their work in September. In detail 18.06.2009 Those who give - have more to give The organizations and activists who take part in the revival of the donors' movement in Karelia were honoured in the Assembly Hall. The event was timed to coincide with the International Donor Day and 65th Anniversary of the award pin "honourable Donor". The Student Union of PetrSU was also among the organizations that actively participate in giving donor blood. We sincerely hope that popularity of donor activities will continue to grow next year! In detail 01.06.2009 Childhood holiday Heroes from different fairytales have congratulated little childrne on their holiday and on the firsst day of summer. The Princess, the witch Baba Yaga, the Little Red Riding-hood and others were playing, dancing, painting and drawing animals, making toys with parents out of play-dough, entertaining the children! Balloons, favourite songs, bright costumes and, of course, cakes and ice-cream made the holiday unforgettable! In detail 31.05.2009 The concert "Last Test" The test week is over for the majority of the PetrSU students and therefore the Student Union welcomes everyone to the final concert "Last Test". This is already becoming a tradition of our Union as the event takes place for the second time. Only best bands and groups and only the most talented took part in the concert, only the most brilliant performances were showed! Though the concert lasted for more than 3 hours we could certainly say now that the year is over! In detail 24.05.2009 Soccer: Warning! Ladies come! Now we can oficially state: the Atudent Union Ladies Soccer Cup is over! More than 60 female participants, 8 teams, 16 games, 45 goals, broken knees and torn gloves. Teams of the Faculty of Agriculture and the Faculty of Economics faced each other in the battle for the Cup and the Champion Title. And by the score of 2:0 the team of the Faculty of Economics won the title in the second half. The Faculty of Political and Social Sciences got the third place, a little ahead of the Chair of Tourism. Natalia Shilo (the Faculty of Economics) is the best player, Anna Guseva (The Faculty of Agriculture) - the best goal-keeper and Sofia Ananich (the Faculty of Political and Social Sciences) - the best forward. The Student Union of Petrozavodsk University (SUPSU) is one of the biggest and most successful youth NGOs in the Northwest of Russia with more than 7000 members in it. We are a non-political, independent, not-for-profit organization.

The SUPSU a unique organization, which, on the one hand, acts as a Union with mostly defending and supporting functions and, on the other hand, as a Youth organization, which works on strengthening youth leadership, developing youth participation in social, cultural, and democratic processes in society, enhancing youth intercultural learning and exchange of experience.

About the Student Union of Petrozavodsk University (SUPSU)

SUPSU is an active student community. Every undergraduate and graduate student enrolled in the University of Petrozavodsk is automatically also a member of the Student Union. Hundreds of students work voluntarily within SUPSU for various academic, social and cultural themes.

The purpose and task of SUPSU is to represent the students of the University of Petrozavodsk, look after their interests, and foster their academic, social and intellectual endeavors. SUPSU provides its members with a variety of services and represents them in various administrative and political forums.
